About the Tour

For more than 10 years Just Ducky has been taking riders on Pittsburgh's only ADVENTURE through the city on LAND and WATER. Each excursion begins in historic Station Square before waddling into downtown for the ride of your life.

The DUKW Boat first travels through the city's business district past local government buildings and the headquarters of the area's Fortune 500 companies. You will be awed by the amazing architecture of the Allegheny County Courthouse and learn some fun facts about the modern skyscrapers that call the 'Burgh home, like The US Steel Tower.

Next up is The Cultural District, the heart of downtown. Our guides will wow you with tidbits and fun stories about the area's theaters. You might be especially surprised at how culturally rich Pittsburgh really is. 

From Heinz Field to PPG Place there's not a thing you'll miss when you take a Just Ducky Tour! Not even the rivers!!! Yes that's right, just when you think you've seen it all the DUKW effortlessly splashes down into one of the Three Rivers to offer a picture perfect view of the city skyline...

Does it really go in the water? Yes! And it comes out too!

Is this just for kids? Just Ducky is fun for everybody - kids love to quack - grown ups like the jokes - everyone will learn something. Everybody wins! So bring your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, cousin, brother, son, daughter, well... you get it... Ask about our special accommodations for Corporate Charters, Girl Scouts, Bridal Parties, and Field Trips!

Where are you located?  We are conveniently located in Station Square in the Bessemer Court area. We are next to the Hard Rock Cafe where you can receive 15% off your food bill with your JDT tickets (ask for details next door!)

How long is the tour? Tours last for one hour and depart approximately every 90 minutes.

What if it rains? Our boats are equipped with canopies for inclement weather.

Do I need to make a reservation? Reservations are strongly recommended though we can sometimes accommodate walk up guests. Call 412.402.3825 and remember that a message left for us is NOT a reservation!

What is that thing? That thing is a DUKW! It is an amphibious truck built by General Motors Corporation during WWII for transporting goods and soldiers over land and water. D stands for 1942 U stands for utility K stands for front wheel drive and W stands for two rear driving axles. There you go. Clear as Mud.

I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life. Why do I need to take a tour? It's not just a tour! It's a unique experience that you'll never forget... no matter how hard you might try. Just Ducky Tours are great way to add some laughter to a summer day. Everyone needs a little quacking in their life. Besides you might even look at your hometown in a whole new light. Seriously - take a ride!

Are the "DUKWs" handicap accessible? Yes. Each vehicle can accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs at a time. If you need any extra assistance boarding the vehicle then we are at your service. We just ask that you please notify us before check in.

So it really does go in the water? Still Yes.

Will I get wet?  You are not supposed to get wet. We would never want you to get wet. It rarely happens that anyone gets wet. So you can leave your ponchos at home but please do keep in mind you are on a boat.

Do I have to quack? Don't you mean "Do I GET to quack?" Of course you will be quacking! That's one of the best parts. People quack at us, we quack at them. If you can't make a fool of yourself on the DUKW then where can you?

Is the tour always the same? On every tour we strive to show you the best that downtown has to offer. However the tour route may vary from time to time due to city events and construction. Each guide also brings their own personality to the tour so you never know what to expect. However because everyone on the Just Ducky team goes through rigorous training we can assure you that each tour is top notch.
